FAQs
What makes APEX unique?
APEX Performance Center offers year-round tennis training, elite coaching, and a holistic approach to athlete development. More than just a training ground, APEX builds skill, resilience, and character—on and off the court.
What happens in inclement weather?
In the event of inclement weather, APEX Performance Center has a seamless plan to ensure training continues without interruption. Our standard program includes on-court training outdoors and indoor conditioning sessions, but if rain or extreme weather occurs, we will transition all activities indoors. This allows athletes to stay engaged through technical drills, strength & conditioning, mental training, and video analysis—keeping their development on track, rain or shine.
What experience and ability level are needed to attend APEX?
APEX Performance Center welcomes athletes ages 5 and up, from beginners to elite-level players. Whether just starting out or competing at the highest levels, our program is designed to meet each player’s needs with personalized coaching and structured training. With a focus on technical development, strategy, fitness, and mental toughness, APEX provides the right environment for every athlete to grow and excel.
Do you offer private lessons?
APEX will continue to offer private lessons, but it will be part of its new membership model.
Where does training take place?
On court-training will take place at Pen Park in Charlottesville and off-court training will be at our main location, 705-D Dale Ave.
Do all students, regardless of age, participate in the strength training program?
No, the strength training program is only recommended for students ages 13 and up. Younger students can participate in resistance training using their own body weight as well as various other exercises for injury prevention.
